Celebrity Bad Skin
What do Angelina Jolie, Kate Moss, Cameron Diaz and Victoria Beckham have in common?
Ways to treat acneic skin include IPL, which will go deep inside the skin, into the sebaceous glands that generates sebum, bacteria breeds within the sebum and causes eruptions in the form of pustules. IPL will disinfect the sebaceous gland and stop the break outs.
Another way is to combine IPL with a Detox and Radiant 20/10 peel (not on the same day). We use clean science #Alumier peels. Detox peel will kill bacteria in 30 secs, minimise pore size appearance, decongest, reduce acne and prevent new pimples from forming.
RADIANT 20/10 peel is exfoliating & healing in one, targets acne pimples, fine lines, wrinkles, large pores and sun damage.
Common mistakes include using crystal or diamond dermabrasion with active acne or using circular spinning brush. Both will spread the bacteria around the face and make it worse!
And the last thing, must wear sun screen! The sun will make your acne worse! The best sunscreen is a physical sun screen containing zinc dioxide and titanium dioxide. With acneic skin, an oil free sun screen is highly advisable. Our oil free Alumier physical SPF fits the bill amongst others.
We have a full range of specialist cosmeceutical creams (strong creams that really work) at our clinic to help manage the condition between treatments.
