Medical earwax removal using microsuction

Microsuction is one of the safest and more comfortable procedures.

The Differences between Syringing and Microsuction?

Ear syringing, a process that lasts between 15 to 30 minutes, involves flushing out the ear with a soft flow of warm water to remove wax and clear the passage.

Although it's usually not painful, some might find the sensation of water against the eardrum to be a bit uncomfortable.

The procedure can also be messy, as water and earwax may flow out from the ear. It's important to note that this method is not suitable for those who have had recent ear surgery, have a cold, a torn eardrum, or an ear infection.

Our preferred technique for ear wax removal is microsuction. This method carefully vacuums out the wax from the ear, much like a vacuum cleaner.

The audiologist looks into the ear with a microscope while doing this, making it a precise and safe option. It only takes about 10 to 20 minutes, and there's a lower chance of infection since the ear is not exposed to moisture and there's no direct touching of the ear's inner skin.

The procedure is carried out by a very experienced and highly qualified medical professional, Andrew Goodwin
